Izumi is back in Tokyo Dreaming the sequel to Tokyo Ever After! Now that she’s conquered cousins, the press, and the Imperial Family’s acceptance, she now has time to slow down a bit and spend time with her ex-bodyguard boyfriend. Her craziest dream is on the horizon once her dad finally proposes to her mom so they can be that complete family she’s always dreamed of. Everything’s perfect, right? Well, the Imperial Family is having a hard time also accepting her mom’s lack of a royal bloodline on top of her untraditional views. But, if she shows the world she’s a perfect princess maybe that will help place more points in her moms favor. But, what is being the perfect princess going to cost her? Will it be worth it for the picture perfect happy ending or is a happily ever after what you make it? I’ve been waiting since the debut of the first book via countdown timer and constant refreshing of preorder pages and this sequel did not disappoint! Just like the first book (which you don’t need to know to read this but I still highly recommend that you do) I read this in one sitting. Izumi’s struggles are incredibly relatable and her solving/coming to terms with them leaves something for everyone to walk away with. I truly hope we get more in this series! No matter if we do or not, it will continue to be a series that I constantly recommend to all readers.
