To say that Oceanarium, the newest installment of the ‘Welcome to the Museum’ series, is magnificent (ages 8-12) would not be doing it justice. My eyes popped wide open just by looking at the eye-catching cover art. This book is truly a work of art. Each page offers stunning ocean & marine life illustrations which are paired perfectly with the expert text, each one offering insight and illustration about the wide and deep beautiful oceans that are so important to our own lives. Oceanarium is a fascinating dive into the deepest depths of the ocean with incredible illustrations of sea creatures (some our own eyes will never see) plus scientific facts pertaining to the earth’s most significant feature. Written by a marine biologist and illustrated by a true naturalist, this book is stunning and would be a great coffee table book, a gift for a budding scientist and specifically in every school’s library. It is listed as for ages 8-12 but I feel it has a much wider berth than that. This big book offers hours of visual exploration plus the accompanying text will expand knowledge and peak interests.This book leaves no stone, shell or flipper unturned. It is a giant pearl of a STEM book!
